Outdoor Cabana Yoga for Moms at EMC Park (next to the playground, under the cabana)
A 12 week spring/summer yoga marathon of "mommy needs some time to chill and flow while kids run around on swing set" type of yoga.
~ Thursdays: at 10am ~ Rain or shine it's outdoor yoga at its best.
~ Instructor: Benjamin Carroll - an avid mover, yogi and professional athlete. Benjamin loves all things spiritual and functional blending both the practical with the philosophical into every class. He will weave an environment which is safe, empowering and pleasurable to work towards your greatest potential. Benjamin, a Hopkinton native grew up mothered by the wonderful tribe that can be known as, The Mothers of Hopkinton.
Program Description:
This gentle practice can be described as an awakening of your inner, tender, core strength. This empowering flow mimics the Mother energy as we vacillate from power to love and back, opening and expanding into new possibilities within your body and breath.
This practice is geared toward the momma yogi; not the athlete, not the cross-fit fanatic, or the sweat your body into submission yogi, but the gentle empowered "Momini. Emerge your primal momma instincts of love, wisdom and power among friends, immersed in a transformational, outdoor space.
We will get into much heart and hip opening and deliver an all around lubrication and limbering of the whole body to assist in those long baby holds, the deep grocery bag lifts, and that effervescent balance on one leg with both the groceries and a baby to toe kick the car door shut, moments.
Who knows, that might just become a pose in our next class. Practice makes perfect ; )
